Day-by-Day Itinerary
Please note that the below sample itinerary is not representative of your final itinerary (unless you choose not to personalize it further). The purpose of this itinerary is to provide you with a general idea of what your day might look like. Your actual day-by-day itinerary will be fully customized to suit your trip schedule and specific needs.
Day 1
Get ready for the trip of a lifetime! Today, you’ll board your flight from the United States to Prague, Czech Republic. Upon arrival, you will go through customs and immigration. If you’d like to book a transfer to your hotel, please let us know.
Check in to your hotel, then head out to explore the city. Begin your visit in the Old Town; the Old Town Square is the historical heart of Prague, and it’s here that you’ll find the famous Astronomical Clock, dating back to the 14th century. Climb to the top of the tower (don’t worry, there’s an elevator too) and take in panoramic views of the city. For lunch (or dinner – or both!) head to U Vejvodu for traditional goulash and roast pork knee with cabbage and dumplings.
Day 2
Today, we recommend adding a ‘Best of Prague’ tour. You’ll see everything Prague has to offer on a city walking tour and boat cruise, which finishes with a typical Czech lunch. Take in the city’s landmarks on foot, learning more about the vast and varied history of Prague as you’re guided through the city on a walking tour. Afterwards, you’ll see Prague from a different perspective with a 1-hour boat cruise on the waters of the Vltava River.
This evening, why not catch a performance at the famous Estates’ Theatre? This magnificent theatre is where Mozart’s Don Giovanni was first staged in 1787 and is not to be missed.
Day 3
Get up early today and head to Charles Bridge to see a plethora of statues and touch the Cross of St. Jan of Nepomuk. Afterwards, stroll around the quaint streets of Lesser Town, the home of many foreign embassies, where you’ll find numerous pretty churches to explore.
Stop at the beautiful cloisters of Strahov Monastery for a beer and a snack, then explore Wenceslas Square, Prague’s busiest and liveliest square. Try out one of the quaint restaurants of Kampa Park to celebrate your final evening in Prague.
Day 4
Continue your trip today with a train journey to Vienna. Upon arrival, make your way to your hotel to check in. Enjoy lunch at a nearby kaffeehaus; every afternoon at 3pm, the ‘Kaffeejause’ tradition of coffee and pastry takes place across the city, so be sure to join in the ritual.
We recommend adding a sightseeing tour to your itinerary today so you can get acquainted with the city. This evening, take a romantic horse-drawn Fiaker carriage from Stephansplatz and enjoy an authentic Viennese meal afterwards. Be sure to try Sachertorte, a delicious rich chocolate cake made with apricot jam.
Day 5
Wake up early and head to St. Stephan’s Cathedral, a Gothic basilica with a 450-foot steeple. Climb the spiral steps of the South Tower and you’ll be rewarded with an amazing panoramic view of the city.
This afternoon, head to Hofburg Palace. This huge complex is so vast you’re not likely to explore it all in one day – instead, try to visit the main attractions such as the Albertina, Augustinerkirche, Kaiserappartments and the beautiful Schatzkammer (Imperial Treasury), home to the Habsurg jewels and crowns from Empires gone by.
Day 6
Start your day at the Schönbrunn Palace, the summer palace of the Hasburgs. See the beautiful State Apartments, the Gloriette and the marble summerhouse. Then spend the afternoon at Kumsthistorisches Museum, housing the world’s largest collection of Bruegels.
For your final night in Vienna, make your way to the Prater where you can enjoy panoramic views over the city atop the iconic Riesenrad Ferris wheel. Dine at an open-air café, then take a leisurely stroll along the pretty tree-lined paths.
Day 7
Take the train to Budapest today, a journey which takes around 3 hours. When you arrive, check-in to your hotel, then head out to explore the city.
We recommend adding a sightseeing tour to your itinerary today – there are multiple options. You could choose a hop-on, hop-off tour to explore Budapest’s landmarks at your own leisure, or perhaps you’d prefer to join a sightseeing cruise. The latter offers you the chance to relax and admire the panorama of the city from a different perspective.
Day 8
Today, head out to see Budapest’s best attractions. These include the Opera House, Vajdahynyad Castle complex, and Szechenyi bath house, where you can learn more about Hungarian bath culture and take a dip yourself. Stop at a local café for a traditional Hungarian pastry known as ‘retes’ (strudel), then continue your exploring around Danube Promenade, Buda Hill and the famous Chain Bridge.
This evening, mingle with the locals; enjoy a traditional meal of Hungarian goulash and chicken paprikash, then head out to experience Budapest’s buzzing nightlife at a local bar or club.
Day 9
Spend your final day in Budapest discovering the numerous museums the city has to offer. Head to the Ethnographical Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts or the Hungarian National Gallery, then spend your afternoon in the Jewish district. Pick up souvenirs at the Central Market Hall, and visit the Dohány Street Synagogue, the largest in Europe.
Finish your time in Budapest with a trip to Szechenyi bath house (if you haven’t already visited - or perhaps you’d like to visit again!) for some well-deserved rest and relaxation, then head to a local restaurant for a final traditional Hungarian meal.
Day 10
Sadly, your trip has come to an end. Please let us know if you’d like us to arrange a transfer to the airport.

Should you wish to add extra days to existing cities/destinations or add new destinations to your pre-designed package, you will be able to do so during the submission process.
