Day-by-Day Itinerary

Please note that the below sample itinerary is not representative of your final itinerary (unless you choose not to personalize it further). The purpose of this itinerary is to provide you with a general idea of what your day might look like. Your actual day-by-day itinerary will be fully customized to suit your trip schedule and specific needs.

Day 1

Get ready for the trip of a lifetime! Today, you’ll take your flight to Munich, Germany. Upon arrival, you will go through customs and immigration. If you’d like to add a transfer to your itinerary, please let us know.

After check-in, fight jet lag and head out to explore Munich. Head straight for the city’s Old Town, a neighborhood where old meets new. Enter through the mighty city gates, and, once inside, experience great shopping, beer halls, museums and a royal palace. Take an easy self-guided tour and take it all in!

Day 2

We recommend adding an escape to the Bavarian countryside to your itinerary today. A coach will take you to see two of Germany’s iconic castles in one day. Choose whether you’d like to visit one or both palaces (Linderhof and Neuschwanstein), and learn about King Ludwig II, who built numerous palaces during his time on the throne. You’ll have time to stop for lunch (at your own expense) and explore the Bavarian countryside.

Back in Munich, head for dinner and drinks at the Augustiner Beer Hall & Garden.

Day 3

Today, head to Dachau for a sobering visit to the concentration camp that once operated here. Among the beauty and small-town feel of Dachau, the concentration camp is a stark reminder of the horror that happened here. It’s a moving, educational and emotional experience that will stick with you forever.

Afterward, stroll around the beautiful Hoftgarden (Royal Palace Garden), taking in the 8-portal pavilion and the Munich War Memorial. On your final night in Munich, head for an authentic German dinner at a local restaurant and finish with a nightcap at Hofbräuhaus.

Day 4

Enjoy breakfast in Munich, then take the train to Zurich. Upon arrival, make your way to your hotel for check-in.

After a day of traveling, you’ll likely want to take it easy today. Head to the small hilltop park of Lindenhof. It’s a popular place for visitors and locals alike, who come here to admire the views of the buildings along the riverfront and gives you an insight into the layout of the city. Afterward, head for a traditional fondue dinner.

Day 5

We recommend adding a sightseeing tour of the city today, to explore Zurich’s most famous landmarks. A luxury coach will take you around the city’s sights such as the Swiss National Museum, the Zurich Opera House and the Old Town. Afterward, you’ll take to the water on a ferry for a scenic crossing of Lake Zurich.

See the beautiful architecture of Fraumünster Church and the Bahnhofstrasse, then marvel at sweeping Alpine views on a cable car ride to the Felsenegg lookout. After a day of exploring, head for authentic Swiss cuisine washed down with great beer at a local restaurant.

Day 6

This morning, make your way to the towering landmark of Grossmünster. This large Romanesque church is an iconic part of Zurich’s skyline and one of the city’s most significant churches. Then take a stroll along Niederdorfstrasse, a pedestrianized street in the Old Town. It’s packed with quaint restaurants, cafes and bars that you may wish to stop at.

Wander down to the banks of the Limmat River, admiring the historic buildings that line the waters. For your final evening in Zurich, perhaps venture back to Niederdorfstrasse to eat and drink like a local.

Day 7

Sadly, your trip has come to an end. We’d be happy to arrange a transfer to the airport for you.

Additional Days

Should you wish to add extra days to existing cities/destinations or add new destinations to your pre-designed package, you will be able to do so during the submission process. Note that this will incur additional planning fees per additional day at checkout. Your final package cost will also change depending on how many additional travel components are needed for the extra days.
