Day-by-Day Itinerary

Please note that the below sample itinerary is not representative of your final itinerary (unless you choose not to personalize it further). The purpose of this itinerary is to provide you with a general idea of what your day might look like. Your actual day-by-day itinerary will be fully customized to suit your trip schedule and specific needs.

Day 1

Get ready for the trip of a lifetime! Today, you’ll board your flight from the United States to Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Day 2

Welcome to Dubrovnik! Upon arrival, you will go through customs and immigration. You’ll be met at the airport and transported to your hotel.

Fight the jet lag and head out today to discover why Dubrovnik is one of the Mediterranean’s most elite destinations. Affectionately known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic” this beautiful city is one of the most stunning in all of Croatia.

Set out to explore the fabulous architecture and historic buildings Dubrovnik has to offer, from Dubrovnik Cathedral to the Church of St. Blaise to Fort Bokar. This evening, head to a local restaurant to try local delicacies and get a taste for Croatian cuisine.

Day 3

Today is yours to explore at leisure. However, we recommend adding an incredible 8-hour island hopping tour of the Elaphiti Islands to your itinerary. On this memorable experience, you’re picked up from your hotel by a representative and taken to your sailing boat. You’ll then take to the seas on an adventure, stopping to swim in the crystal-clear seas and learning more about the islands as you go. Just ask us if you’d like to add this activity to your package.

This evening, stroll around Dubrovnik and take in the bustling atmosphere, marveling at the Venetian influences on the city. Be sure to check out the local bars and clubs – there’s great nightlife here!

Day 4

Make the most of your final day in Dubrovnik with a stroll around the beautiful Old Town. Stop at one of the cafes to watch the world go by, and experience Dubrovnik as the locals do.  then tick off any other bucket-list attractions you may not have seen yet (Pile Gate, Lapad, Babin Kuk, to name a few).

This evening, be sure to try Black Risotto, a favorite in Dubrovnik. As a city surrounded by sea and daily catches delivered to restaurants across the city, it should come as no surprise that Dubrovnik produces incredible seafood dishes.

Day 5

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before taking the bus journey from Dubrovnik to Croatia’s second-largest city, Split. Upon arrival, make your way to your hotel and get ready to explore the city.

We recommend adding a 24-hour hop-on hop-off bus pass, so you can make the most of your time in the city and see as many sights as possible. With a local guide onboard each bus, you’ll get to learn more about this exciting city and all of its landmarks.

Day 6

Up and out today – there’s another day of exploring to be had! With a history dating back over 1700 years, Split is a history lover’s dream. Be sure to head to the Diocletian Palace, the lavish retirement home of the Roman Emperor. It’s the largest and best-preserved Roman Palace in the world, and is a must-see on any Split itinerary.

Then set out on foot to discover the Old Town, a pedestrianized area incorporating the beautiful ‘Riva’ river walk. Go shopping, see Roman-era buildings and marvel at the stunning backdrop of mountains and sea.

Day 7

Your final day in Split is not to be wasted – get up early to make the most of it! Head to Split Cathedral, where you can climb the belltower for gorgeous views across the city, out to sea and beyond. The staircase may have a bit of a rickety feel to it, but it’s worth it – you’ll be rewarded with incredible views at the top.

This evening, head to one of the laneways to finish your Croatian vacation with an authentic Dalmation meal, or head to one of the more mainstream restaurants for views of the sea from your table.

Your Last Day in Split

Sadly, your vacation has come to an end. If you’d like to add a transfer to your package, just let us know.

Additional Days

Should you wish to add extra days to existing cities/destinations or add new destinations to your pre-designed package, you will be able to do so during the submission process. Note that this will incur additional planning fees per additional day at checkout. Your final package cost will also change depending on how many additional travel components are needed for the extra days.
